Mount Carrigain was a lovely relentless 14 miles with some road walk. Saw a moose in Pinkham Notch this morning. Saw a bald eagle very close by as we drove by the fish hatcheries on our way to hike Mount Cabot. Found lots of shady soft pine forest floor spots to rest and snack. Lots of stinky mushrooms going thru a slimy transition. Lots of all kinds of mushrooms like this purple velvety toadstool popping in front of this mossy log. 🌲REPOSTED with more locations!🌲 Last fall while I was still in my Forest Therapy Guide Practicum, my co-mentor and fellow trainee and I decided to create a Forest Bathing Day as a collaborative harvest project. We co-wrote a story about our intention this past spring and then invited our fellow Forest Therapy Guides to consider guiding a Forest Bathing Walk on this proposed same day at the same time. The response has been completely overwhelming. Initially, we were thinking of a nation wide walk but then folks were like, why not include other countries as well? So now it’s happening internationally. Most of the walks will happen around the same time (morning for some, evening for others and everything in between). Our intention is that even if you can’t join a forest Bathing Walk that day, that you might take a moment to connect with the land in some way during this time. I will be assisting a training team on a Forest Therapy guide training in Ohio on this day and I will be standing in the forest with you all🌲 #forestbathingday #forestbathing #foresttherapy #shinrinyoku yoku #natureconnection #foresttherapyguides
